Here’s this week’s Illustration Friday. It’s roughly based on a view into a field on the way out of Lincoln. Lovely bleak scene to cheer everyone up… hee hee…

Very nice and subtle! I love your use of “bleak” and “cheer” in the same sentence ^_^

Bleak? Bleak?? Yes, well, in this case, bleak is also extremely beautiful. It’s a quiet, misty morning, when the sun is just beginning to rise and burn through the fog with its slanting rays. It’s a gaggle of friends on their way to a new home. It’s sharing breakfast with your best buddies in an uncrowded eatery. Yes, this DOES cheer me up!

Perfectly dismal. No, just kidding. It’s calm and very seasonal with a hint of Spring. Those big birds are coming home and that’s always a good sign.

I pass a field not unlike this one on my way to uni. You captured it beautifully!

Bleak but hauntingly beautiful – like a lot of your work.
