IF: breezy

I don’t seem to be finishing much except for quick IF topics at the moment. I’m working quite hard on the portrait from hell at the moment so maybe I’ll post some awful work in progress pictures at some point. Or maybe I won’t. 🙂

This is inspired by a tower somewhere in California, but I’ve changed stuff.  Like the fact that you could actually get to the real one without climbing equipment.  And the roundness.  And the number of flags.

I love flags.

  1. Oh, this has beautiful texture and light. I love flags too!

  2. Oh, Rachel, that’s quite majestic and beautiful! I love those long, slender flags. The tower looks like it will be a challenge to get to, but well worth the climb. Beautiful textured sky as well!

Thanks for your visit. Haha, yes, there was unusual activity on my blog today. 🙂

  3. It’s very beautiful! I love all the questions it suggests, the color palette and textures. Great!

  6. I really love this. It’s like a fairytale, I bet there’s a princess in there waiting to be rescued.

    Is it pastel?

  13. Thanks so much everyone for visiting and your kind words!

Aveen – yes it’s pastel on black paper. It seems to be what I do at the moment! Even with the hassle of putting on white for the sky and blue over the top, it still feels cosier than white paper for some reason. I feel happier with black showing through than white – I wonder why that is?

  14. this is fantastic! i love flags, too!

  15. This is lovely. I’m amused by the idea of you posting ‘awful work in progress’ i don’t think the word ‘awful’ and you go together…!
